Policy Advocacy

Today NWAC has over 10 organizational members, who are providing services to thousands of women and their families living with HIV/AIDS. Our member organizations are either directly involved in providing HIV testing to their constituents or long-time advocates for confidential, informed and accessible HIV testing. In addition to our individual missions and programmatic expertise, we as a collective undertake public policy advocacy around issues that can or will impact women living with HIV/AIDS. Our experience as women-led AIDS service organizations from across the United States, serving largely or exclusively women living with or affected by HIV, provides us a unique perspective on the needs and concerns of women living with or at-risk for HIV.
